Let me know if you'd like others looking up. Interestingly, when I did this I discovered this record. This must have been the actual marriage that followed after the Banns record in 1788. No wonder its so tough to find people sometimes! Alison Thank you so much for finding my Joseph Obbard and Mary, its lovely to have a surname for her at last. The reason I asked how many Obbard marriages were on the CD is because I am doing a one-name study - don't panic I'm not going to ask you to look at them all for me (lol)- but I am now wondering if it would be worth me investing in a copy of the CD myself. I have other names in Sussex in my family tree as well as the one-name study. Would be really interested to know where you got it from, how much it cost and what parishes it covers. Hi Alison, Could you possibly look up a Joseph Jones (thankfully not common back then in Sussex!!) after 1830, he married a Mary but cannot read her surname on their sons birth certificate, area probably Eastbourne. Thank you very much, Clare.

Hi Ness in Somerset, GEALL - resulted in 179 matches (this includes surname variants) dating back to 1555. SHEPPARD - 299 returned with exact spelling. Surname variants would only allow 500 to be viewed due to restriction. Unfortunately, I can only copy one at a time - if you have request for a few then I would be happy to oblige. I probably wouldn't have spent £20 for it if I had stumbled on it myself but knowing that there are 27 results for the name I am interested in and that works out at about 75p each plus whatever other details it holds for the rest of my tree makes it a much better proposition.
