Hi Elaine, I wonder whether you could see whether you can find Joseph GREENWOOD. Should be in the Nelson/ marsden area of Burnley. He would be about 19 bn c 1842. Born Marsden (or Nelson). Possibly married to an Ann Adah same age bn Yorks Starbottom. Many thanks, Jill

Hi Elaine Thanks for the kind offer. I would like you to have a look for my Whiffen (often mispelt) family if possible. The father is John aged about 53, wife Sarah about same age, daughter Sarah Jane about 14. I would love to have the names of any other children still at home. Hi Elaine Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. This is definately Them. We have some old diarys belonging to my G grandfather and there were lots of Names etc in there a few birth and marriage dates but only names for William's Parents. Henry and Betty or Betsy short for Elizabeth. My gut instinct is saying yes this is them. Oh My a new trail to follow. I am looking into at this moment of getting the marriage certificate for William and Ruth. Your a Star. Maureen

Hi Elaine, if you are not too busy would you look up a James Walmsley married to a Mary Ashton. They were married about 1840 and I suppose born 1810-1820, and had there son John in Liverpool. He was born in the Mount Pleasant sub district in 1842. I cannot find a marriage for Mary and James either so if you can help there I would be most grateful. Thanks, Anne.
