Hi Elaine Thank you for talking me through the site. I am not to sure what information you may be able to help me with,so i will just tell you all i know so far and any information will be of great help. I am trying to find a Samuel Scott Arthur,i know he lived at 26 Compton Street,Everton in 1860 when he had a daughter, Florence Kate Arthur,Florence was then found on the 1881 census at 19 Chester Road living with her mother Eliza Arthur, Samuel was not living there at this time ,but in 1882 when Florence married at St James Church West Derby, to a Charles Holland Wibrow, he was named as her father on the marriage certificate,(it did not say deceased). So if you could find any records for Samuel Scott Arthur or Eliza Arthur, or their daughter Florence Kate Arthur,i have no idea if Florence had any brothers or sisters. I do know that Samuel was a master mariner, and that Charles was an actor. I hope i have not overloaded you with all this information, but like i said i am new to all this and i am never to sure how much information to give. once again thank you for your time Amanda

Dear Elaine, Could you possibly look for my very elusive Samuel/ Samuels [sometimes even Daniels lol] family. Mum is Martha Samuels, age 37 born Winsford Cheshire Dad is David but no other info on him as he seems to avoid every blooming census! Others are possibly Selina [or Sarah] age 8, Daniel age 6 and David age 2. Selina was born in Liverpool. In 1852 they were living in Bond st, Liverpool and in 1871 they were at Dundas road, Liverpool. Many thanks for your time

JOHN WILLIAMS, age could be anywhere between 20 and 40, born Wrexham. He was a plumber in the 1871. MARGARET WILLIAMS, age between 10 and 30, born in Bangor. * Lilian Williams * There are several John McMahon around the age of 20 but NO BERNARD at all. So pinpointing your John is impossible. There are NO Ellen Middleton on the Index of the correct age. John Williams: there are 31 between the age of 20-30 and a further 34 between the age 30-40 Margaret Williams: there are 16 between 10-20 and a further 23 between 20-30. There are NO Bernard Ralph. Hi Elaine, how wonderful of you to offer assistance like this. I migrated to Australia, from Chester, and accessing records is quite difficult. If it is at all possible could you try lookups on the following please? William Slater born 1836 at Ashton U Lyne, his wife Mary Slater born 1834 at West Leigh, they both appear in the 1871 census at Newton but I can't decipher the handwritten street name. They have two sons by 1871, looks like John aged 14 & James aged 19. George Heap born 1836 in Oldham, living at 10 Eden St. aged 45 in 1881 census. On his wedding cert. the father is stated as Colin Fitton. Any by that name would be nice, presume Oldham too. Thomas Swan(n) born 1854-55 at Manchester,parents William Swan(n) & Sarah, nee Martin Caroline Sykes born 1855 at Manchester, father Thomas Sykes. I realise this is quite a list & if too much please say so. I respect your kind heart & assistance. Warmest regards.
