Lou I'm good to you....these are the only Coleman families in Greenwich in 1901 with a Head the right age to have fathered a child in 1902. I've discounted the geriatics and anyone who already has a child called Robert still alive! Arthur Coleman 31 Ipitafield, London, England Head Greenwich London Charles A Coleman 33 Greenwich, Kent, England Head Greenwich London Charles J Coleman 35 Bethnal Green, London, England Head Greenwich London Frank H Coleman 34 Chapel Brampton, Northamptonshire, England Head Greenwich London George W Coleman 37 Maidstone, Kent, England Head Greenwich London Joseph John Coleman 37 Deptford, Kent, England Head Greenwich London When you work out who Daddy was, let me know and I'll let you have the whole family. Based on the law of averages, my money is on either of the two Charles's or Joseph John simply because all their other children have middle names, none of the others have given them a 2nd name. Would love to know if I was right! |

Ah, Robert Henry Coleman. Feel like I know him well! Well, there are over 3000 Coleman's in Greenwich in 1901. Course there aren't that many families, as a lot will belong together. Will have a look for any possibles (assuming he could have been named after Dad or whatever) and list them for future ref for you but other than that its wait for the birth cert I'm afraid! Lou |

Hi Linda I've checked the 1881 image and its not them unless he ditched Caroline, married Alice, then remarried Caroline and had lots of children with different names. Hmmm, think not! I've found a Caroline right age right birthplace working as a Servant in London in 1881 but no sign of John. If you let me have your e mail I'll send 1871 and 1891 across and will keep looking for 1881! Lou |

Hi Anna Right, a challenge and a half this little lot! This is the only Martha of the right age born Glastonbury Jessie I Chandler 3 Wells, Somerset, England Daughter Clifton Gloucestershire John Chandler 60 Taunton, Somerset, England Father-in-law Clifton Gloucestershire John W Chandler 1 Bristol Son Clifton Gloucestershire Martha Chandler 30 Glastonbury, Somerset, England Wife Clifton Gloucestershire Samuel Chandler 29 Wells, Somerset, England Head Clifton Gloucestershire Marriage coverage for the 1860's isn't that good on ancestry yet so can't see whether it is your Martha who married Several possibles for Jane's the right age born Glastonbury but again, can't see a marriage for her. Hi Lou, Diane again children would be: Elizabeth b 1849 George b 1851 Charles b 1859 Benjamin 1861 Thomas 1855 Joseph 1866 James 1869 willie b 1871 The older children would probably have left home and the youngest may not have been born before the census. Thanks a lot regards Diane x |
