Tracy Please could yu check the 1871 census Middlesbrough for a family named Devitt. I believe the father was called Peter and they had a daughter called Kate who would have been approx 8. I am especially interested in where the parents were born. Thanks Lucy

Hello Tracey, I am looking for any information (in particular from US Census) for George Alexander. He was born in about 1848 in Dundee, Scotland. I descend from his elder brother David Mitchell Alexander, born 1844 in Dundee. All I know of George is that he was a ship's draughtsman(?), and that he died in Oregan, USA. Dates of death & possible marriage/children are unknown to me. Sorry!! Any information, however small, would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Marcus Smith

Pam - you should try 1837online or familyrelatives.org to find ones after 1910. FamilyRelatives has full transcriptions up to 1920, and both sites have the original images showing the GRO ref. 1837 has 1837 - 2002 and family relatives has 1866 - 2002. They contain Birth, Mariages and Deaths. You have to buy credits for both sites, and depending on what you're after, they're as good as each other :)

Hi, My name is Claire and i'm looking for some information on my fathers side of the family. Her name was Ann Penfold and she married George Henty. She was born in 1771 and died on 6th November 1832. I think she was born in Sussex. Can you tell me if her and George had any children and what there names, births and deaths were? Any help appreciated.
