Hi Tracy I'm looking for a family that I know were in Liverpool in the 1871 census but no idea what happened after that. They don't seem to be on the 1881 census - possibly in Dublin for work purposes but if they're around in the 1891 and 1901 census I'd love to know what's happening. Also if there's records bmd of other member of the immediate family it would make my life a lot easier - trying to access English data from Scotland is NOT easy. In the 1871 Census the Mutter family are living at 20 Deacon St Everton Liverpool. John is the head at around 44 and is from Axminster in Devon. His wife Ellen is from the Isle of Man and is 27. Their children are Albert, Ada and Edward (from whom I'm descended) and all children born in Liverpool. I know about the births of Albert and Ada and that Ada married a man with the surname of Youds but know nothing else about them. Edward married my great-grandmother Jessie in Glasgow in 1896 but they're not in the 1901 census for Scotland so I suspect they are in Liverpool then. If you can find any further information about the family it would be greatly appreciated. In particular I'd love to know about the deaths of John and Ellen as that'll give me data about their parentage - we know nothing about them at all - and that would clear up years of family gossip! Hi Tracy, I am a bit new to this, but can you look up an Albert Cowper Dobbie born 1891 in Middlesbrough. his wife was Elizabeth Snaith born 1893 in Sunderland, and her mother was also Elizabeth born 1870, again in Sunderland. Maryclare - I can't find him up to 1920 or after 1983. If he died between, you would need to try either 1837online or a records office to find the details.

Margaret - I can't find anything before 1837, so you would need to go to a records office for John Darlison. There is a Clara registered in Jun 1856, but the Volume and Page aren't legible.
