Hi Steve I’m happy to start trawling Bethnal Green churches for the first marriage 1834-37. For the second marriage, have you tried freebmd or 1837 online, to try to narrow it down. Joan |

Hi Frances. I’ll start trawling Bethnal Green churches for 1821/23 to try to find Louisa’s baptism. It may take a while so if you find it before me could you let me know please. Joan |

John If you have an address in St.George in the East, maybe from your father’s birth that I can work the search around that would be great. If not it may take some time, but I’ll do my best. Joan |

Hi Joan thank you for your kind offer and if not to many all ready could I ask the following please........... I have a Elizabeth Hannah Davey born 1836 give or take two years showing St Lukes, City rd on census returns. She married Richard Davidson from Newcastle I think mid 50's as there first born Richard is down as same place as mum born roughly 1857. Problem I have is that I cannot find birth/marriage for Elizabeth, or record for son's birth (I have a funny feeling it could be Lying-in Hospital) Can you please see if anything can be found A big thank you debs |

Hi Graham Have you looked at actual register entry of your Henshaw children’s baptism ? It does seem odd that children born before and after him were all baptised on the same day, without him. If you’ve already checked that out yourself, I’ll look elsewhere, otherwise I’ll look at St.Dunstan in case he’s just been overlooked. Have you asked if anyone could check the 1861 census index for you. Joan |

Hi Siobhan I’ll start by looking in St.Mary, Marylebone for a possible marriage, as you say the children were baptised there. I’ll do my best anyway. Joan |

Hello Diana Do you know where the family were living in 1861? If not, maybe you could ask Pippa if she would look in her 1861 index for you. It would give an idea of which churches to search for a baptism. Joan |

Hi Pat I’m happy to trawl for the marriage, but do you have an address that I could use as a starting point to decide which church I begin with. Joan |

Irene I’m sorry but there were no certificates issued before 1837, so you won’t be able to get a birth cert for your William A.J.Brown. I’ll add you to my list to trawl St.George in the East for a baptism around 1831 though. Joan |

Hi Joan, I'm fairly sure that the church will be St Mathew in Bethnall green.Unable to find the second marriage on any site, hence the ask,but do not worry about this one unless you have time.In fact do not worry about Hackney,as I just remembered somebody looking there before. Many thanks, Steve. |
