I'm looking for the family: Benjamin Clayton, occupation: Baker, wife Elizabeth and at least one child Richard (5/6 years old) In 1855 (from Richard's Birth Certificate) they were living at 21 Bennett Street, Greenwich, but I know they were not there in 1861. I don't know where Benjamin or Elizabeth were born or when. I don't know if this is enough information for you to help, but I'll keep everything crossed!! Many thanks Christel

Penny Sorry but Powis Street is not on my copy of the street Index. I understand that alot of the 1861 census for Woolwich was lost in storage (including Powis Street) The Greenwich Heritage Centre , Royal Arsenal, Woolwich London SE18 has the 1861 Census for Woolwich so they may be able to help. Some say it was in the Kent Census but as I understand it , it has been in the London Census since 1851. Cheers Michelle
