Thank you for your kind offer. I have found on Ancestry an 1881 census entry for Rosina Woodruff, aged 13 yrs, born Dublin Ireland in 1868. It is in the Convent in Deal Kent. Unfortunately I can't access the image. Would it be possible to send me this please. Ref RG11/0997 folio 74 page 3. Also I am looking for Edith Kathleen Woodruff (Eade) on 1891 census but she is not showing on LDS . Would it be possible for you to look for her for me please? Regards, Margaret |

Hi Michelle Thanks for the kind offer. I've found Harry Jones on the 1901 website, age 32, born Coventry, and a watchmaker finisher, still living in Coventry. Please can you find the rest of the family for me. I think this is the same one that I have who married Margaret Lamb in 1892. Any help appreciated. Kind regards Pauline xx |

Robin This is difficult as again ( as you have found) there are two possibles and on first look there is nothing between them Green, John G 14 Lincolnshire Son St Mary le Wigford Lincolnshire Green, John Hy 14 Riseholme, Lincolnshire Son St Nicholas Lincolnshire So I looked up the reg district that covers Minting - Horncastle Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Horncastle; Tattershall; Tetford; Wragby GRO volumes : XIV (1837-51); 7a (1852-1930). Asgarby, Ashby Pyerorum, Asterby, Bag Enderby, Baumber, Belchford, Benniworth, Bucknall, Cawkwell, Claxby Pluckacre, Coningsby, Dalderby, East Barkwith, Edlington, Fullerby, Gautby, Goulceby, Great Sturton, Greetham, Hagworthingham, Haltham, Hameringham, Hatton, Haven Bank, Hemingby, High Toynton, Horncastle, Horsington, Kirkby on Bain, Kirkstead, Langton, Langton by Wragby, Low Toynton, Lusby, Mareham le Fen, Mareham on the Hill, Market Stainton, Martin, Miningsby, Minting, Moorby, Panton, Ranby, Revesby, Roughton, Salmonby, Scamblesby, Scrafield, Scrivelsby, Somersby, Sotby, Stixwould, Tattershall, Tattershall Thorpe, Tumby, Tupholme, Waddingworth, West Ashby, West Barkwith, Wildmore, Wilksby, Winceby, Wispington, Wood Enderby, Woodhall, Woodhall Spa, Wragby. And from that I looked up the Civil Birth Regs for Horncastle and came up with this one John Green Birth June 1876 District Horncastle Lincolnshire Vol 7a Page 573 Then I looked up the District for Riseholm ( as the two possibles mentioned above, one said birthplace = Linclonshire and the other said birthplace = Riseholm) Lincoln Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Lincoln Home; Lincoln North East; Lincoln South West GRO volumes : XIV (1837-51); 7a (1852-1930). Aisthorpe, Apley, Aubourn, Bardney, Barlings, Bishop's Palace, Boothby Graffoe, Boultham, Bracebridge, Bracebridge Heath, Branston, Brattleby, Broxholme, Bullington, Burton, Caenby, Cammeringham, Canwick, Castle Dykings, Cherry Willingham, Cold Bath House, Cold Hanworth, Coldstead, Coleby, Doddington, Dunholme, Dunston, Eagle, Eagle Hall, Eagle Woodhouse, East Firsby, Faldingworth, Fiskerton, Friesthorpe, Fulnetby, Goltho, Grange de Lings, Greetwell, Hackthorn, Haddington, Harmston, Heighington, Holmes Common, Holton cum Beckering, Ingham, Lincoln, Nere, Metheringham, Monks Liberty, Morton, Navenby, Nettleham, Newball, Nocton, Normanby by Spital, North Carlton, North Hykeham, Owmby, Potter Hanworth, Rand, Reepham, Riseholme, Saxby, Saxilby with Ingleby, Scampton, Scothern, Skellingthorpe, Skinnand, Snarford, Snelland, South Carlton, South Common, South Hykeham, Sprindlington, Stainfield, Stainton by Langworth, Sudbrooke, Swinethorpe, Thorpe in the Fallows, Waddington, Washingborough, Welton, West Firsby, Whisby, Wickenby. Hi Michelle Would you please check 1891 for John Green about 14 years born Lincs, Minting Park. I have him Married in 1901 in Worksop Notts and I think I have found his marriage in 1900 at Boston Lincs. At the moment I cannot be certain which one is the correct John for 1881. 1891 would be a great help. Many Thanks |

Ian Sorry but Ancestry dosn't have an address serach facility except that you can find the Registration district- where it displays all the reg dist within that area and then to find an address you have to look at each enumerators page to see what it covers. I'm not really up on London streets at the moment but would guess that King street might come under Hammersmith which is broken then into two sub districts, the first sub district is then broken down into 59 other districts which inorder to see where King st might come you have to look at each emumerators page for each district, which would take me ages. I think perhaps people that have boxed cd discs for the census may have address search facility so it might be better to ask them. If you know a name that you are hoping to find in that address , it would be better for me to search using that information on Ancestry and if they arn't at that address then maybe I could find them somewhere else.Sorry if it all seems a bit longwinded but if you know how I might search on Ancestry for an address better I really would love to know!! Cheers Michelle |
