Karen: Closest record I could find on the 1850 was for a Lydia Ludy born about 1843 in Philadelphia. I guess Langhorne was part of Philadelphia Co back then because now it's part of Bucks County. I'll save the record if you would like to see it. Just need your email address. I'll look for Emma Holt. Rose

Hi Rose I wonder if you might be able to find Owen Amos on any of your records.................. He was born in 1839 in Spalding, Lincs and appears on 1861 census there. Does not appear on 1871 as far as I have been able to discover. In 1876, he married in Morris, Kansas - where he died in 1926. If you could find anything at all, I would really appreciate it. All his siblings were born in Yorkshire so have no idea why they would be in America in 1850. Could you also check 1850 census for them - it should read Charles Peace (23) born Sheffield (File Cutter) Maria Peace (26) born Birmingham, Warks Sarah Peace (1) born Sheffield. Many thanks, Sheelagh
