Hi Rose You've helped me in the past and I was wondering if you could find some of this family on the US 1860 census for me? The info is from 1850 US census and they were living in Providence, Rhode Island. As far as I know they stayed in the Rhode Island area. All were born in England, sometimes the name is spelt HATFIELD. ALFRED HADFIELD, age 23 ELIZABETH HADFIELD, age 21 FREDERICK HADFIELD, age 17 CHRISTOPHER HADFIELD, age 15 ANDREW HADFIELD, age 27 ELIZABETH HADFIELD, age 29 MARY HADFIELD, age 4 Hope that you'll be able to help in some way, thanks for your time. Dawn :-) |

Rosemary please would you check for James Evans (sometimes born Wales sometimes Shropshire) and wife Mary (sometimes born Staffordshire, usually Shifnal Shrops) their two children were born New Foundland, the first in 1831, sometimes birth place given USA. I imagine they went out about 1829-1830. A few years later they returned to Shropshire. Hope this makes sense, thanks even if you cant help, it is generous of you to offer. XX |

Thelma, The only record I found was for a Rowland Aberly who immigrated to the US, arriving at NY in 1831 at the age of 27. There is no other info or image available for this record. I can't find Rowland on the 1830 or 1840 census. Only heads of households were listed until 1850 when all household members were named but I can't find any Aberly/Abberly/Habberly's on the 1850 or 1860 census. Have you been able to find Benjamin on the 1851 UK census? Rose |

Annie, Sorry, no trace of Percival on the 1910 or 1920 census. Don't see him on the immigration records either. To determine year of marriage on the 1930, compare age at time of census vs age at marriage. The difference for Percival is 7 years so you can assume they married around 1923. Where though is a mystery. Too bad they had no children or I could have possibly tracked them down that way. The census records are continually being updated so perhaps he will turn up later. Rose |

Christine, There's a John G Cannon on the 1861 born 1848 in Poplar Middlesex living in Poplar I can't find John Sr or Jr on the US 1870 or UK 1871. Not seeing him on the immigration records either. When did John Sr marry Eliza? I get the impression by the way she is listed on the 1881 that she may be a second wife. Rose |

Hi Karen, Sorry, still can't find Lydia or her father Richard. Besides not knowing when Richard was born, but not sure where he was born. We can assume England but he also may have been born in the US. Rose |

Margaret, Found a G H Folwell on the immigration records arriving 12 June 1888. The only problem it shows his birth about 1877. He is just listed as 'child' and doesn't seem to be connected to anyone. Unfortunately, there is no 1890 census. On the 1900 there is a Harold G Folwell, lodger, b 1873 in England, living in Brooklyn NY. with the Leary's Occupation: Secretary: Superior Court Judge Also listed is wife Evelyn. Shows year of arrival: 1884 On the 1910, he's back to using George H. and now a Lawyer. Does this help any? Rose |

Hello Rosemary, Thank you for your kind offer. I'm looking for Mary Isabel Wilkinson born 31/05/1875 in the Isle of Man. She married a Hedley Stephens and they went to America, where they were naturalised and they had a son Thomas. Unfortunately I don't have a date for Mary's wedding to Hedley nor do I have any birth details for Hedley. Mary appears on the 1891 census in England but I can't find her in 1901. Thank you, Helenxx |
