Hi Sarah Thanks for doing that look up but unfortunately that isn't the family i am looking for. Both these men have left home and may even be married. Their parents names are William and Ann Gray. I have these two on the 61 but the boys are not with them. The Hatfield i am interested in is in Yorkshire nr Doncaster. Thanks again Jane

CHRISTINE according to Ancestry the census is complete, but I think there are alot of errors and mistranscriptions. Maybe you could post a request for a look-up from someone who has the correct disk - you may have better luck.

Hi Sarah just a thought if you have no luck with my Gibbs family then could you try Mary Cochrane 32 yrs born Ireland,Hannah 10 yrs born Woolwich,Kent, Alfred 7 yrs,Sophia 4 yrs both born Deptford,Surrey. Probably living in Deptford or Greenwich,Kent/London where mistranscribed in 1871 census as Cocksane instead of Cochrane. Many thanks and best wishes Jenny

CHRISTINE do you know Alice's maiden name? and are you certain Alice was his wife in '61? I have found a James Bramwell in '71 with a wife Mary, and children whose names match the initials you give, but nothing so far in '61. Is it possible he was married, or at least living with someone as if they were married, more than once?

Sarah Please could you help me. I am Looking for John Gray born in Hatfield Yorkshire abt 1836 on the 1861 Census. I Can only guess he is still in Yorkshire. Also his Brother William born abt 1838 in Hatfield, Yorkshire. I cant find either of them on the 71 or 81 census. thanks for your help. Jane

Hi Sarah Thanks for your kind offer. I was wondering if you could look for Hugh Joseph Thompson of Everton or Liverpool in Lancashire in the 1891/1901 census. He was born in 1860 in Liverpool and married Harriet Hunter in Everton St Ambrose in 1883. I am especially looking for any children they might have had. Thanks again Sarah
