Hi Helen Little Nell does your info cover Shepperton Surrey? If so I am looking for any details of PC Ronald White. All I know he was in the force in 1956, I have a newspaper cutting of a car chase he was involved with. Ron was born 1925 Don't know if you can help Caz |

Little Caz There is only one Ronald White on police-orders, and he joined in the 1920s. As your relative lived in Shepperton he was probably in the local police and not the Met. You need to contact the local police force/or records office for info. nell |

Hi Helen. I have found William LEE listed as a Police Constable in St Margarets Westminister on the 1861 census. I'm not familiar with the area, so not sure if this would qualify as the Met. He was back in Derbyshire in 1871. TIA Angela |

Maureen If your policeman was in Liverpool he won't be in the Met. Police-orders only covers the Metropolitan Police. You would need to contact either the local police force HQ or the county records office. nell |
