Steve Many thanks for the info you found on John and William Viall. Apologies for not giving any dates. There was a John Vial(l) born 1847 but I think he died pre 1901. His brother William was born in 1862. John also had a son called John born 1878 which must be the one you found. There was also another William (again son of first John) born c1880!
