Stephen, with the info/images you gave earlier I now have a few more look-ups. Hope you don't mind. 1861- Yorks Ann Garbutt age 52 widow born Blansley Park, Yorks Isaac Hesp age 39 born Raindale, Yorks. May have Elizabeth age 10 born Pickering, Yorks with him. Sarah Dunning widow (may have sons James or William with her) Mary Simpson age 16 - born Yorks, Sinnington as per 1871 census 1891 - Yorks William and Ann E Dunning - just married March 9/1891 so may be living with the Dunnings or Garbutts. From previous lookup: Could you send image of 1901 Wm., Ann, Chas and Mary Dunning. Transcript for Wm. Dunning 1871 shows a Rebecca born c1869 which doesn't show on image. Could you see if she is on the following page for me? Very much appreciated. Margaret |

Hi Stephen, Thanks for the info, it gets better by the day. Is it possible to look on the 1871 census for suffolk to see who was living with Samuel Mills in Ashby. 1881 census shows his wife as Ann b1832 Reedham Nfk. and i think 1871 shows Ann b1832 living in Row 38 in Gt Yarmouth Nfk. with William b1863 Shoreditch Middlesex Eng. and Alice b1866 in London. Son & Daughter. Ann & children have surname of Mills. The 1891 census shows William as a stepson of Samuel. Hopefully this will give me the name of his first wife and the mother of Samuel b1865 Lound Bertha b1868 Lound Charles b1871 Ashby Hope this makes sense Rodney Will mail my email |

Hi Steve. Many thanks for your offer. Could you please look at 1861 Census for Luton, Bedfordshire. Looking for SCRIVENER (could show as Scrivenor). Leagrave/Limbury area?. Charles age 37 - Eliza 38 - James or Edward James) 17-/+ - plus others in household, address, occupation and any other info given. If not pushing my luck and your kind offer - See if there is a Thomas Scrivener on there. Have no other info on him only that he would have been born approx 1803. May be more than one Thomas as I did find one but not corrrect. He would have been the father of Charles. Appreciate your help as have had difficulty throughout this tree. Regards Maureen |
