Hi Karen, Looks like you have more than enough to be going on with, but just in case you do get time...... I am looking for the baptisms of: William Henry MOOR circa 1830 Stratford, Essex Mary Hannah MOOR circa 1826 Stratford, Essex I know their father was William MOOR and *believe* their mother was Maria. If you see any possible siblings that would be great! Also if the marriages are in the same place then the marriage of William MOOR & Maria ??? around 1820's. William MOOR was born circa 1799 Plaistow, Essex. Doubt you'll get time, but thnaks for the offer anyway. Good luck with YOUR searches - hope you find what you are after! Carole

Dear Karen, It looks as though you will be pretty busy so you probably won't have time to do this one as well, but just in case you do... could you please look for a marriage at Leyton (probably St. Mary's Church?) between John HORNER and Elizabeth between 1787 and 1790? I don't know Elizabeth's maiden name but would love to find out (they were my g-g-g-g-grandparents). John would be a widower. Their first child was Maria christened 3 Oct 1790, and John's last child by his first wife Charlotte was Sarah Charlotte christened 31 May 1789, but I don't know when Charlotte actually died so it could be that Sarah Charlotte was a late baptism and John and Elizabeth could have been married before that christening? Thanks. Kate.

Thanks so much for the offer. My great, great grandmother, ELIZABETH HAGAN, (nee Hooper, born 1836 in Cornwall) died of senile dementia in the Union Infirmary, Union Workhouse in EPPING on 14th May 1912, aged 76. There is nothing in the National Burials Index under Epping. It would be good to know where she was buried. I wonder if you can find anything out about her, please. Many thanks. Heather

Hi Karen, I would be very grateful if you could just ask a question for me while you are there. I have a death cert in 1842 of an Ann Kirby in Great Burstead which is registered by the Coroner in Brentwood Essex, she was only in her 40's and I think she is my rellie but can't prove it yet. My question is: would they have any records relating to her inquest that far back? I am presuming that there was one, as she died from an ilness relating to a previous disease and her husband didn't register it. If I can help you in return with lookups or 1837 credits you are welcome to e mail me, in case I miss your posting. Many thanks Amanda

Hi Karen. I wonder if you could help me with a problem please. I'm not after a look-up as such, and this is a bit of a long shot. I'm trying to find a place, and wondered if you could perhaps ask a staff member if they know of it at all. My 3xgrGrandfather, George Anderson, was born in 1799, in a place shown on the 1851 & 1881 censuses as South Amwell, & on the 1861 as East Amwell, in each case the county is given as Essex. He spent most of his life in Poplar, working as a Waterman, so I've been surmising that this Amwell place may be near the river. My best guess is that it is somewhere near the New River, that runs from Amwell in Hertfordshire down towards the Thames, through Islington - except that's in Middlesex. This is only a guess though, so if you could help me it will be much appreciated, however, if you are very busy with other requests, it doesn't matter. Thanks Helen

There is so much I want to do at the ERO, I almost went end of April, but my mum was scared of me driving up there, grrrrr! Would you be able to look up three things for me, please? I do plan on getting copies when I get up there, but any leads on trying to find these people would be great. Marriage between Thomas COE and Margaret HALLS. The IGI says it took place 2 June 1724 at Little Yeldham. If there are witnesses, or any info, I'd love to know. Baptism of Lydia HURRELL, possibly in Little Yeldham, or if they have indexes for the areas around could you look at those, (definitely not in Castle Hedingham - where she married in 1772, and the family did go back to Little Yeldham c1780). Guessing she would be born c1751. Her husband to be was baptised in 1751. I think he died in 1782 and Lydia remarried to Caleb Cranfield 10 Sep 1788 in Little Yeldham (as Lydia Coe). If you could look at that marriage also that would be fantastic, witnesses, if she was a widow etc. The baptism is the main thing, but also the more difficult so if you don't have the time to do that, I'd be very happy with the two marriage look ups. Hope it's not too much. Thank you! Chloe

Hi Karen Thanks for the offer, if you get time I would really appreciate some assistance with one of my Essex puzzles! I'm looking for the baptisms of Sarah B, Charlotte and George Stuart, all at Harwich St Nicholas. Sarah 1804, Charlotte 1823, George 1827 (all approx). I THINK they are all brother and sisters (Charlotte and George definitely are!) so either of those two would be enough to tell me who their parents are and where they fit into my jigsaw! Thanks Lou
