Thanks for that Lorraine, certainly looks right. John must have passed on his weaving to daughter Harriet by 1861 when he had become a gardener. I'll just have to check on Mary as the age doesn't quite match up - I haven't found her on 1861 census yet - something to spend the night looking for! Bradley PS Didn't take too long, got a Mary Ann Spencer as a servant, which makes sense why she's not with the family born c. 1836.
