Sarah the 86 yr old pauper is her G/mother and John her father. dont know about the other family but it is possible John is her brother. poor Mercy was the last in a long line of children. Thank you Nikki, was that just looking in the N Petherton area? I wonder if theyw er elsewhere in somerset. I know they both stated being born N Petherton in the 1881 but i suppose they could have lived anywhere 30 years before that. They had a son John said to be born N Petherton in 1851 (don't know what month unfortunately, haven't checked it out yet.) very strange they aren't there though isn't it? Thanks for looking anyway. Ann I looked in North Petherton & Bridgwater for them plus the whole county name index with no luck. I guess it could be the fact that they have just been badly transcribed? I have searched on the first names as well as the surnames . Perhaps try searching Ancestry 1851 when it's available. Nikki
