Hi Susie is any of your disc,s 1841/1851 indexed or do you need a pacific place of living. I am still looking for my Richard Porter born approx 1831 Windsor Berkshire. Someone has looked up the boards in Berkshire 1841 index and they couldnt find any the right age. In 1852 his son was born and they were living in slough. Could you also look for another Richard porter born c1788 Datchet Buckinghamshire. Jess found him and i am trying to find out if he was related. Both above Richards were bricklayers. thank you for your time again Star

Hi Susie Thanks once again. And you're up so early!! I am getting a lot of help with things I couldn't trace on my own and you've now helped twice with the same family. As is usual you can see family names coming through again which makes you more sure this is a family group. Again in this family it looks like the mother is widowed and on her own How's your own research going Susie? Regards Linda

Hi Susie You helped me a while ago now I am hoping you can find Elizabeth INWOOD born c1826 in steeple claydon. Your info 1851 census gave this when she was married to William Archer, living in Buckingham and 2 children. Today I got Ann Archers birth cert, thanks to help from you and Jess(when you were on Hols) Hence knowing her mothers name is Inwood. Thanks for anything you find Regards Linda

Hi Susie, Many thanks indeed. Agree she was too old to be the one I am looking for but feel there must be a connection of some kind. As she was living alone might have been the mother of my missing Amelia and the father may well have been a James Cooper - without the benefit of clergy as the saying goes - and the claim of widowhood on her marriage in 1857 could have been to provide an air of respectability. On the other hand, this might just be rubbish ! Will carry on looking and thanks again for your help. Regards, Brenda
