Hi Sally I hope you can help me I am looking for info on my gg grandfather Henry Hollyoak (Holyoak). he was born in c1847 and I beleive in or around the B'ham area (Warwickshire). He married (aged 21) Eliza Jane Deeming in St Georges Birmingham in 1867. and he was living Gt ? Russell Street. His father is John Hollyoak a boatman. a witness to the marriage was an Elizabeth Hollyoak (poss. sister or mother?). He died c1877 (deceased on sons birth cert where is occ is down as boatman also)) i think i have found death cert but not sure definitely him yet. I can only find the family after Henry's death. I can't find him in 1851,61 0r 71. I did find an Henry Hollyoak 10yrs in Atherstone in 1841 but this wouldn't tie in with his dob. Hope you can help me track down the elusive henry (who on one document is down as William henry (which is also the name of his son). I'm struggling with this now and would love some help. Hi Sally Many Thanks for this, many bricks have fallen out the wall!! I am sure its them I recognise the address which is just round the corner from where my grandmother grew up! and I would never have thought connection with Isle of Man. Have so much to go on with now! Thanks again Karen

Jane, found1901 william hume age 21 he was a Private in the cavalry based in Colchester. 1891 have found he with his siblings and parents if you need it. Here if you need me.

Did your Harry marry Jane Elizabeth Taffe March qrt 1892 sheffield vol 9c page 475 ? if so found this 1901 census Harry 29 Jane e wife 27 ann e daugh 1892 florence ' 1894 sidney son 1897 harry son 1898 gladys daugh 1900 if you could confirm or deny I could do some more searching for you. ------------

Hi hope you can help me. I am trying to find any information about the family of Benjamin Grimmer born in Norfolk c1844. I have found him in later years so i am interested in the 1851. His birth place has been put down as various spellings such as Swart, Lwaite/ Twaite. Sorry not to be more precise but that is all i know apart from the fact he moved around alot when he was older as he was a fisherman. Many thanks Lynda
