Thank you very much for getting the information for me! Does ch stand for christened? From census data the latter entry is more likely to be correct.

Hi , Dawn , Have searched scotlandspeople repeatedly but cannot find the following ...Marriage ,David Hamilton = Sarah Turk c1847ish...baptism Sarah Hamilton c 1848ish....on the 61 census daughter Sarah is aged 11.born Scotland.. They were in Guisborugh N Yorks on the 61 so I'm thinking they were in the Southern area of Scotland prior to this. Many thanks , Joyce

Thanks for trying Dawn, I did find one in St Martins London where she was married, but the census say Berwick upon Tweed. With such a common name one cant make guesses so I'll have to sit on it. Regards Christina

Hi Dawn Thank you very very much for the kind offer. I don't know if you can help me but I would appreciate any info. My ladies name is Mary Fraz(s)er and the only information I have on her is that she was born in the Isle of Syke and in 1852 she married. On her marriage cert she is underage. I would presume her birth to be around 1836. Don't be too worried if you can't find her as I appreciate the lookup. Irene in NZ

Hiya, I think i have Peter & Mary on 1861 name index. It says Peter was born in Stirlingshire around 1833 and Mary was born in Ireland around 1836. Children include Sarah, Peter, Mary & John. Marys surname is spelt Cassey in 1861.

SEAN FANNIN Hi again Lyn I'd say that the 1793 James and the 1800 James are two different people. As for the 1806 James, it's very possible for him to be married at 18. I think girls could marry at either 12 or 14 and boys at 16 but don't quote me on that. Hope you figure it out soon. Dawn :-)
