Hello Dawn Please could you help me with a search for Ann Gallacher (b 1842) she married Thomas Donaldson from Ireland on May 13 1861 i think in Partick, Glasgow, Lanark. Banns According to the Free Church of Scotland. But on the information i have i cannot find anything about her Parents who i believe to be James Gallacher and Mary Gilmour, i think they also lived in Partick, Any information you could give me would be Fantastic Many Thanks Rachael

HI, I thought I may have asked before but just checked and it says I have not put anything on this board. So here goes. I am looking for a marriage between a McKerrow and a Dickson most probably in Lanarkshire. around 1835. I am really looking for an alternative parent for Alexander McKerrow born 1835 Douglas. I have his parents as John McKerrow b1816 Galston and Jean/Jane Sloan c1812 Douglas. I really want to find a connection to Thomas The Doughty Dickson. My ggrandfather is James Dickson McKerrow b1867 Douglas and his father is Alexander. Hi Dawn Thanks so much for your offer - looks as if you are inundated! If you have time, I am trying to find info on Catherine O'Connor. On the Australian birth certificate of her son, she is listed as being born in Dundee, Forfar, Scotland. Her birth year would have been about 1848. I don't know how accurate the information is on the birth certificate as I thought Dundee and Forfar were 2 different towns - I'm an Aussie so I'm getting my info from a map! Many thanks Anna

Dawn That's excellent thank you. I'm sure that Isabella is the daughter of Peter and Helen. Strange about her being called Helen. No more Helens in the family. Or Peter's for that matter. Hi thanks for the offer could you look up the death of John Shields married to Christina Glover in Buckhaven Weymss Fife( his parents are Mary Lapping & Francis Shields) they are on the 1901 census for Buckhaven but may have moved to Ballingry Fife cannot locate this death anywhere maybe looking in the wrong place new to searching thanks again for your help Jane

Hi Dawn, Thankyou for your kind offer. I would be really grateful if you could check out the birth of an Ellison THOMSON , somewhere in the Dundee area around 1807-1815 (probably 1810). The christian name of Ellison seems to be recorded as Ealison, Ellison, Allison and Alison depending on which census return or records document looked at. One census return gives her place of birth as Forfar, Dundee. I've looked at a map and its a very small place a few miles from Dundee. The county is now Angus but I'm not sure if it would have been circa 1810. If you are able to locate a Thomson family in this area I would be grateful for details. Many thanks Jenny
