Hello Dawn Thanks for the kind offer. Trying to tie down a birth around c1838 - 1842 for a David Youngson to parents William and Elizabeth (Betsy). Also, his brother John born c 1842-1846. Both probably in Angus (former Forfarshire). I have traced records for two children born to these parents that died just after birth or in infancy, but cannot find anything on David or John until their respective marriages many years later. Thanks in advance for trying.

If possible could you look up any of the children of a Nathaniel Polson and Johanna Morrison probably in Durness Sutherland area born 1830 onwards and a Lachlin (Lachlan) Ross and Janet Mathison (Matheson) born 1825 onwards or if these are too late then the children of a Alexander Polson and Margaret (Mary) Ross of Kildonan Sutherland c1790's. Hello Dawn Thanks for trying. Yes, that is the parents and ties with what info I have, thanks. It's a strange one this, the births of their two children born c1833 and c1841 who died at birth/in infancy are recorded on Scotlandspeople, yet no sign of anything for their three children who lived (even though I have approx. birth year for two and an actual date of birth for one). Maybe one day something will turn up, somewhere (mind you, I have only last night managed to place the parents and children Isobel & David together on the 1841 Census, before John was born so at least I have something 'concrete').
