Trudy i am wondering whether Georges parents had died by 1861 and Rebecca the eldest was taking care of them all. Robert was born 1860 so it is possible that the parents died between 1860 and 1861. Think i have found them on 1891 living in Kensington George is listed as a bricklayer aged 41 Ellen aged 32 and 2 children Harry 8 Annie 4 both born in Kensington Just seen where George was born so this is definitely them since it says he was born Notts, Radcliffe. xx |

Trudy This is the only other one i can find in Middlesex between 1900 and 1910 where he isnt 70 something but here they show his age so i dont know whether he died before he was 1 or whether it is just not listed! Name: MORLEY, George James J Record Type: Deaths Age at death: 0 Quarter: March Year: 1904 District: Stepney County: Greater London London Middlesex Volume: 1c Page: 255 (click to see others on page) cant find Ellen and opened the time up to 1900 - 1920 nothing!! Is there anywhere else that they could have been living when they died?? Just check the 1861 again see if there was another page i dont remember there being one though. xx |

Claire, this is great ! Thanks so much. I am unsure as to exact year of George and Ellen's deaths - could be anytime between 1900 and 1910. Could you check other years please ? Ref the 1861 how come there are no parents listed - any idea ? I wonder why Ellen is not listed - could you check on 1881 or 1891 or maybe she was living somewhere else. I do appreciate all your help. Trudy. |

Hi Trudy, looked for their marriage in Middlesex since thats where they were living in 1901 Morley, George 1881 June Marriages Kensington Greater London London Middlesex TOPP, Ellen 1881 June Marriages Kensington Greater London London Middlesex There are 2 deaths for George in Middlesex ill give you them both so you can see which one you think it is, MORLEY, George Record Type: Deaths Age at death: 1 Quarter: March Year: 1904 District: Stepney County: Greater London London Middlesex Volume: 1c Page: 250 (click to see others on page) and Morley, George Record Type: Deaths Age at death: 0 Quarter: September Year: 1903 District: Islington County: Greater London London Middlesex Volume: 1b Page: 126 (click to see others on page Ill just have a look for ellen There is one for an ellen around 1904 but she is aged 79 so there is no way that could be her. now let me check the 1861 see if i can find them Heres George George Morley abt 1851 Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England Son Radcliffe on Trent Nottinghamshire Rebecca Morley abt 1826 Godstone, Leicestershire, England Daughter Radcliffe on Trent Nottinghamshire Robert Morley abt 1860 Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England Son Radcliffe on Trent Nottinghamshire Sarah Morley abt 1858 Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England Daughter Radcliffe on Trent Nottinghamshire Willim H Morley abt 1850 Radcliffe on Trent, Nottinghamshire, England Son Radcliffe on Trent Nottinghamshire I cant seem to find Ellen and i have checked on the 1871 which is strange xx |

Hi Claire - thank you so much - this is my first breakthrough ! The 1901 Morleys have to be mine - can you find details of George and Ellen's (Topp) marriage around 1880 and their deaths around 1904 ? Also could you please search for them in the 1861 census so I can find their siblings and parents. I am so grateful ! Thankyou ! |
