hi, im trying to find information on my great granfather. on his birth certificate dated 18/2/1872 he was named william joseph henry warner. his father, henry warner and his mother, mary ann warner. when he married emily elizebeth edwards on 20/4/1895 he had become wiliie joseph poulter, his father being charles poulter of lecharine lodge in fulham. he was born in west ham essex. |

There are too many inconsistancies for them to be the same people, surely. Have you looked on the 1901 census? You might find they are two different people. |

You are correct Janet as my great mother was Eleanor Poulter born Eleanor Warner (Woner on the birth certificate) of Henry and Mary Ann Warner. I don't know what happened to Henry but Mary Ann married Charles James Poulter, who was a sugar boiler and then a foreman at Manbre Saccharine Works at Fulham. Eleanor became Eleanor Poulter and married Alfred Skevington. Would love to compare notes on the family. |
