Hi Jackie Thanks for coming back to me - The Ward family were in Nelson Street West, Birmingham in 1861. They gave their address when married as Great Bridge and it seems that their first child Sarah Ann born approx 1852/53 was born in West Bromwich. Is that any use. Thanks again Jan |

Hi Jackie Can you find Richard Ashley for me in Madeley. I guess he would have been born before 1800. I knoe there are Ashleys in the village but I can not find anything on him or his daughter who married in 1837. Many thanks Julie |

Jacqui Re Charles Allen, thank you. He had a 13 year old son in 1881 which means he could have been born c 1868. Caharles senior was 37 in 1881 so would have been 17 in 1861. Does it say what he was apprenticed in? it says on Frederick's birth certificate that he was a chemist and druggest (master) which indicates he was an apprentice at some time. The famil has no idea of wher he might have trained. Thanks for your help JA |
