I have since discovered that ireland was the local name for the area due to the number of irish immigrants living there. Great way to learn history this genealogy. Julie

Hi Jackie, Can you please find a thomas Griffiths for me. From ther daughters marriage in 44 I know he was living in Knutton Heath and that he was a Hatter. I assume he was born before 1800 as his daughter was born in 1816. Many thanks Julie
