Hi the only information i have is 1841 and 1851 census. Then 1881 to 1901 census for Cornelius Page in Edinburgh with his wife and family. I managed to find marriage for William Page and Sarah Finkle but hat only gave me St Giles April 1821 no parents or any other information. Any help would be great.

Re Gibbons family, Niagara. Thanks for checking. William Austin Gibbons born Manchester 1842, married Hannah in England and emigrated, supposedly to 'the New York side of Niagara Falls' where they had a restuarant, and where daughter Alice was born c. 1871. Son William maybe born US, maybe Canada where they moved to at some point before returning to England 1878. It could be that they fall between every gap and won't feature on any census! By the way, Hannah was catholic, but I don't know about William. Thanks again, Miranda

Sorry Miranda. They're not there in 1870. I don't think it's complete though. There isn't an 1875 one. In 1881, Alice is down as being born in Canada. Maybe they're there?

Re Gibbons. Thanks anyway. FYI there does seem to be a state census for 1875, but I guess this is not available from Ancestry.com. Can I ask one more favour? McCombe family in San Francisco, California. I have found them in 1880: John b. c. 1828 Isle of France [Mauritius] Sarah b. c. 1834 Scotland and children John, George, Ella, Mary,Thomas, Elliot Could you check 1860/1870/1890?
