there's this one from Easington, which isn't that far from Gateshead, ( the other one in 1861 is much farther north) Name: Tarbit, Henry Record Type: Deaths Quarter: June Year: 1860 District: Easington County: Co. Durham Volume: 10a Page: 171 Nothing to say that this is the right one, of course |

deciphering handwriting of that time often results in transcription errors. any idea where henry may have been living when he died - if you get what I mean!! perhaps I should swallow dictionary again and ask where he was residing at time of death!1 |

Sorry, info came from ancestry site, you'll need to get cert for name of informant 2 Henry TarbIts (not Tarbet) death registered in Co Durham in 1860 and 61 |

on the marriage cert patrick married alice tarbet no middle name they were married on the 24th oct 1863 the same date as my wife and i funny |

Have checked all his daughters from 1881 census for a marriage to a Charlton but none. I wonder if the death certificate is wrong? Will see if anyone else can help x |

alices father was henry tarbet he was dead when they got married in 1863 and patricks father is down as anthony and he is also dead its like hitting a wall |
