lol Colette, no probs :) You could try asking your older family if they remember any names other than the ones you have. I tried that, and ended up with a couple of people I didn't know about. |

Colette, before Sept 1911, maiden names aren't shown so without first names, that task is impossible. Sorry. To give you an idea, there were 93 results. |

Thanks so much Tracy. I think I'll have to get the birth certificate to find out more. It's a loooong story. My Grand Dad was born Carl Olsson and changed his name, during WW1, to Charles Stevens. I'm assuming Stevens was his mother's name. His parents weren't married, and his dad died in the States before he was able to bring her over to America. My Nanny was apparently adopted so it could be difficult to find her. My Dad doesn't know much more, but I will have to find out when they were married. This may take some doing but I thank you for the start. hugz, Gail |

Hi Tracey. I am getting very frustrated as my GGGrandfather is proving elusive. His name is Elijah Evans, born 1843, married Matilda Waterson in June 1877 in Gorleston, Suffolk. The marriage certificate gives his residence as Southtown(thats in Gt Yarmouth). His fathers name was John, a shoemaker. Elijah was in the Ninth regiment and died in1878, his son William was born in1878. I have been unable to find any birth records for him have searched most sites. Can you shed any light? Thanks Sandra |

Gail, this is his birth record.. Birth Jun 1903 Olsson Carl West Ham 4a 71 There's a ton of possible Elsie Walkers in 1905/6. Do you know when they married? Might be a better idea to find their marriage cert to get Elsies dad from. Looks like Olsson is a Swedish name. Not sure how you'd research it though lol |

Hi I am trying to find information (parents names etc.) for my grandfather and grandmother. Grand Dad was born Carl Olsson, March 26 1903 in West Ham. He changed his name during WW1 to Charles Stevens. I'm assuming his mother was a Stevens. His father was an Olsson who left for the USA before they were married. Nanny was born Dec. 6 2005 but I'm not sure where. Her name was Elsie Walker. |

Birth Dec 1919 Wilson Sarah J Cook West Derby 8b 797 Birth Mar 1917 Wilson John Cook West Derby 8b 654 Birth Dec 1912 Wilson Mary Cook West Derby 8b 766 No Cookes in the right area. I couldn't even find Alexander. Unless... Birth Dec 1914 Wilson Alexander Cock West Derby 8b 810 I wouldn't think there'd be space for her to have twins in between all those. |

Hi Tracey and thank you your a little Gem. Sorry to bug you again my Grt Gran was surposed to have had twin boys surname WILSON her name COOK(E)West Derby district. She had my Gran in Sept 1912 Mary Wilson and i believe these boys came after her, i have a gap from 1912 till the next son Alexander Wilson dob unknown but before 1919 when daughter Sarah Jane Wilson was born. I know My Grt Grandad also named Alexander Wilson was in the Army so son Alexander was either born before he joined or when he came back so 1913, 1914 or 1918 can you fill in the blanks for me. Jane Cooke & Alexander Wilson married 1912. Mary Wilson B Sept 1912 / Twins B ??? /Alexander B ??? / Sarah Jane b 1919. These twins died as babies but the way the childrens names go i wouldnt be surprised if they were John, Alexander or Archibald, Janes dads name.. Thanks Tracey Colette |
