ALISON The 1851 Sample I have is for Kent. So I cant do anything for your Sharples Family on that as they all come from Lancashire. I cant find them on 1871 either??? :~( I have found Ann (Widow) & Son Robert in 1881 Living in Preston...But I cant find Robert (father) death info. Sorry Lesley :~(

Hi Lesley, Dont know how I have missed your thread until now. I have a family missing from the 1851 index. They should have been on the Dartford registration index but went AWOL. I wonder if they may be in your Greenwich census or any of the other surrounding areas. They were in Northfleet 1841 and some were at Swanscombe or Sutton-at-Hone 1861. So they must have been in the area 1851. One of them got married at Bethnal Green. William SMITH c1811 head Fanny SMITH c 1811 wife George William SMITH b 1840 Northfleet son Harriet SMITH c 1843 Northfleet daughter and with a name like SMITH there are so many to eliminate. Would be great if you could solve this mystery. It is starting to bug me now.LOL Thanks GLoria

Thanks for looking. Looks like more detective work is needed. Normally accurate family info (writtten notes from grandfather) indicates Sarah's family name was Aspinall. Census info I've found so far indicates family name was Chadwick. Was hoping to get date of marriage and send for certificate if necessary. Lynne
