It contains records from the late 1500s to 1854, though some areas go a little bit later. Hi Dawn Thank you for the offer. Could you see if there is a Robert Simm (or Sim) born c.1828/9 in Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire. Parents were Robert Simm and Ann Hendersen. There were two sisters I know of also born in Scotland both in Edinburgh - Marey in c.1833 and Margaret c.1835. Would be interested if you find any more children too. Thanks very much. Karen

Hi Dawn, Parents of William Anthony, b. abt. 1842 in Dalmeny near Edinburgh. Parents, birthplace of Samuel McMillan, b. abt. 1850, married Henrietta Cleland (Clelland? McClelland?) in Govan, Lanarkshire, in 1872. Parents, birthplace (possibly Lasswade) of William Lawson, b. abt. 1800, married Agnes Ross in 1826 in Lasswade, Midlothian. I have the marriage cert of 1874. married at Burnbrae, tarbolton. john dickson, caol miner, born c1855 tarbolton. father William Dickson (Tailor deceased). mother Elizabeth Dickson (nee McKeller) deceased. Jane Thomson, dressmaker, born c1855 Tarbolton. father Alexander thomson (coal miner) mother Margaret thomson (nee Barr) (i found a poss marriage for alexander thomson and margaret barr at IGI october 1851 new monkland, lanark. but the date was incomplete and there were no other details.) i think alexander and margaret possibly had Jane (1855? , matthew 1855, janet 1856 and alexander 1861 - again from IGI) any help you can give will be much apprceiated. thanks lisa

Hi Dawn Could you please see if you can find the baptisms of this couple. Thomas BYERS/BUYERS/BYRES Margaret HENRYSON/HENRYSONE/HENDERSON (father was William) They married in 1713 in St Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian. No idea of age though. There is a baptism on the IGI for a Thomas in 1703, but that would have made him too yuoung, surely? Thanks Chloe

Margaret b 1850 Glasgow Archibald b 1851-2 Govan Anabella b 1853 Govan William b 1856 Govan Jeanie (Jane) b 1858 Govan. If there were anymore i would love to know also if there is any parish records on William & Diana is 1851 they lived in Anderson Glasgow so maybe William was of the area.
