Hi, If it's not too much trouble I'd like to try and find out more about Martha Kernick, born invariably in either St. Stephens's-by-Saltash or just plain Saltash, Cornwall in about 1837, and her brother John Kernick, born in the same area in about 1830. I don't know their parents or any other siblings but I hope that the local Cornwall census should help me out a bit. 31 year old John was living in St. Stephen's, Cornwall as a Farm Mill Servant at a local farm for a William Pearce in the 1861 census, then moved to Withington, Manchester with his sister Martha and her husband, for the 1871, 1881, 1891 census. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Michael |

Hi Lorraine, I would be so pleased if you could help find a Thomas Lawrence on the 1841 Census, it is quite likely that he would have been in Cornwall. He would be aged around 60, with a wife Mary, and children Thomas, Morris, Stephen and possibly Catherine, though I suspect she might have died by this time. I do not know where he was born, but it most likely to be Norfolk, or Kent. I believe the 1841 Census only shows place of birth as 'out of County' anyway, and even this would be useful info. for me. Many thanks if you can help, have been searching for this for years! Cyndy |

Hi Lorraine Many thanks for your time and research. I'm sure that's them, and it's given me a bit more of a lead on this branch of my tree. Now I have a few more names I can look forward myself to 1861 and see if anyone was still around then. Thanks for your help Michael |
