Lorraine only found them under creese in 1881 is this susan's marriage 1895 to either william oakley or william wicks??? ________ Chris could not find them after 1851/61 even looked for John Noon grandson b1858 also looked to see if Ann and Martha Pearce married a Noon. to no avail. Just found another rellie on 1881 under married name but no husband at home. Says her marital status was married and not widowed but couldnt find him. Emily Wiffen b1841 Eynsford Kent. Husband is Armell Wiffen b1843 Kent. Wonder if you could find them on 1871 and 91 to see if he is still around. Could have been away in the services I suppose in 1881. Thanks Gloria

many thanks for that information sally, mary ann white's mother was called mary. my mary ann had two illigitimate daughters born 1857 and 58 in sherrington and another three children 1861, 67 and 70 in the union workhouse warminster where she appears on the 1871 and 1881 census and still a field worker. jenny
