Sorry Tracy, I lost my internet connection and could not get back on. Someone has been very helpful on the fam. search. There is an Hanna Leese noted for 1812 in Newcastle. No parents. What is the point in that? I can not find any possible widows for her. Yes there are to many Richards. on the 41 there are three in the same household. Richard Ashley/Lear grandfather is Richard Ashley. I can not find him either, but thats for another day |

There's far too many Richards in this family lol Francis could be Richards brother? Though maybe not since one was born in Stafford and not the other. |

I think you have found another branch on the 41. Johns parents are Richard and Martha and his grandparents are Richard and Elizabeth. I do not know who francis is? |

Madeley Parish records are on fische at the local library. they go up to 1885 I think. My plan this morning was to go and look up a marriage for another branch of the family this afternoon. |

Martha Ann lewis is the daughter of Thomas Lewis. He was also married before to Hannah ? I will have to put this on paper to see it all clearly |

That sounds good to me :) Least we know where all the Lewis' came from lol I still can't find Richard and Mary though :( The available Parish Records only go to 1812. Unless you can get to Stafford? |

I think I have the connection. It starts with Richard and Martha Lea. They have two sons, Richard and William Lear. Richard the younger marries Ann Ashley who already has a son Richard Ashley. Richard we think marries twice. 2nd time to Martha Ann Lewis William marries Elizabeth who dies young after the birth of two children. He then marries Harriet. They have 3 children. when william dies, harriet marries thomas Lewis and has another daughter, mary Jane Lewis. Am I still making sense.? |
