Anne That is the only David Lockerbie in the 1881 Scottish Census. I've found the Thomas Lockerbie and family in Penpoint in 1881 - do you want to view their neighbours? Anne

Carol there is no trace of Charles in any of the British Census in 1881. have you tried looking for a death record for him? I found his birth record on BIVRI - you probably already have it! Hello Anne, Thank you for looking. I am not sure it is him though as I cannot link him with any Brown grandparents. I have found his grandparents Thomas and Agnes Lockerbie and his mother Jane Lockerbie on the 1881 census in Penpont previously and he was not with them. I have found him in Glasgow on the 1891 census listed as a railway guard. Is this the only David Lockerbie listed as the one I want was born in Penpont? Thank you again. Anne

Hi Anne, Wonder if you could look for 2 William Hainey. The first was born 1874 Glasgow. I think he will most likely be in a home or institute. The second is his father, I only know that in 1874 he was a boatyard labourer & lived in Govan. I suspect he will be in his 30s Sorry to be so vague , but I only recently discovered this information from an application for poor relief, and haven't got much further yet. Thanks in advance, Jim
