Hi Anne, Thankyou for finding that census for me it could be her. It's funny but her son married an Ellen Butler but in Cumberland but went back to Glasgow where my Grandmother was born, then came back to Cumberland. Hi Annie: I don't have a census question as much as asking someone some informtion as to the county that Knoydart is located in. Family is Mcdonalds and they emmigrated to Canada in 1830's. Google did not give me the county as it listed as island? Your help would be appreciated.

Anne, Could you please see if you can find a Duncan Mckinnon born about 1840 ,The info i have on him is he was born in Arygle poss. Oban . I have found him in England Jarrow on the 1891 /1901 but nothing before then . He may be in the Lanarkshire area at that time as his parents died when he was young and the children were split between relatives and most of them were in Glasgow Cath .
