Hi Tracy , Sorry....Hope that Im not being difficult.... Robert William Eadie married Sarah Emma Wimbleton in 1890 in Kensington London,..children.... Sarah ...Robert...Margaret... I think that there were a few others.... I have their son Roberts birth certificate January 1893 it says father... Robert William...... My father was born in 1910 and his birth certificate says William...I wanted to know if there is any other way of proving it. also I do not know where to start to look for my grandmothers death and burial...she was born in Kensington she may have died there or she may have moved to West Drayton Middlesex...her name may have stayed Eadie or it may have changed to Scull or Scully... any help appreciated... Hi Tracy, Sorry got called away....I was on earlier at 11.50... The reason that I am questioning the father is because earlier siblings birth certificates say Robert William...and my dads just says William...I just wondered if there was any other way of checking it out. Sarah Emma Eadie lived in Kensington Middlesex...but it is possible that she moved to West Drayton Middlesex and died there... I dont know which year she died... it must have been after 1910 Have you anything on any of this please. Thanks for your help... Hetty

Hi Tracy Re John J Sheridan No I can't find a birth record, I hace checked 1837.com and The genealogist, nothing there....I have bought a couple of possible birth certs but fathers name completely different and also occupation doesn't match. the only infor is as I have written....don't worry too much, I will have to be patient and hope they/he turns up on the 1911 census when it eventually comes out. Pam W, the only John Sheridan I can find with father John, was born in Liverpool. Have you found his birth record?

Fran, there is a George Thomas living with a Reed family in 1861. He might be Williams brother. I still think they might've left before the census. They might not have arrived there till 1866, but I can't see them anywhere.

Gwyneth, no sign of a death up to 1920. Can't help much more than that I'm afraid.

Birth Jun 1918 Logan Mary F mother - Maguire Liverpool.8b 79 Birth Mar 1916 Logan Michael mother - Maguire Liverpool.8b 85 Birth Dec 1912 Logan Francis mother - Maguire Blackburn.8e 508 I am unable to find any before this as maiden names weren't on the register before Sep 1911. You could search FreeBMD for Logans born in West Derby, Liverpool and Blackburn and see if any look like yours.

Hi Tracey, Have a bit of a mystery for you, am trying to find the whereabouts of my grandads family, i know they were in tilbury essex in 1901, but would like to know where they were in 1891 and also 1881 if poss, the head of family is Thomas Bundock abt 1864,in maldon, the wife Rosetta,abt 1869 in Deptford, then Thomas the son abt 1889,Henry son abt 1891, anything on this family would be a great help. Hi Tracey Thanks for the offer. I cannot find my 2x grt grandfather Henry Hollyoak b Handsworth Staffs (or could be b'ham warwicks) anywhere on the 1871 census. I have him on previous ones and know he died in 1877. His wife should be Eliza and should have a son Arthur b c 1868 there is also a Charles John b c 1871. Possible connection with Cannock area. I have marriage certs and death certs for him! Hope you can help Bw Kaz

Hi Tracy, I wander if you could please help me with this brick wall I am facing. My g grand-father John J Sheridan is proving to be very elusive!. I have a marriage cert (Oct 1914) for Salford register office. Married to Esther Clavering. He was age 29. Home address 25 Islington Street, Salford (I've looked online at street/trade indexes for 1911 nothing!) I have a birth cert for my grand father ( John's son ) Albert again 1914 address is 31 Islington Street for Albert's birth, 10 Islington Street for John J (Father). I also have just received a death cert for him 1940, and the address?........yes, you.ve guessed it 15 Islington Street, Salford, Manchester. Seems he has lived around there all his life, since c1885. I can find no trace of him anywhere on any census. His father was also called John J Sheridan, can't find him either!!....Very frustrating! If you can find anything at all I would be eternally grateful....but don't worry if you don't. Both occupations for John J senior and junior were general Labourers. Sorry for the long reply, Thanking you with anticipation. Pam

tracy really sorry i thought you meant dorothys brother. it is them the elusive normans ,they have moved quite abit last address is in camberwell .my aunt said he owned a dairy bit of an exageration i cant believe anything they say. thanks again allison

Allison, in the census I gave you, Dorothy doesn't have a brother. Her father does. She wasn't born in Wiltshire, her father was. Please look again, and tell me what you think.
