Hi Jean I had seen.... I read through them all again this morning.. Hi Lynne As long as I have enough time... The depending on the weather.... is because I had an accident nearly 2 years ago.. passed out against the radiator and have full thickness burns down left hand side.. when it gets cold the skin contracts and becomes painful and I get tired with lack of sleep.. so just have to be careful and keep warm..its changeable here at the moment....last week it was very cold and I felt it.. LoL.. When I don't get enough sleep I get techy.. and when you don't get enough sleep it becomes hard to concentrate on the films.. LoL Maureen |

Hello again Maureen An update to my earlier message please since this may be your last visit - depending on the weather! If there are any other BULLERWELL burials on the index for Ryton Holy Cross 1837-1874 may I please have the details as all the BULLERWELL's in County Durham were related! Thank you. Also, if you still have some time, would it be possible to check the marriage details please for John BULLERWELL and Isabella DICK? They married twice in different churches??! Hello Maureen, Thanks for the great offer. If you get a chance I would much appreciate a look up in Swalwell or Gateshead on the 1841 census for my George Fairbairn with wife Sarah and daughter Sarah Ellen who would be 1 or 2. I dont know if they hold the censuses there so just let me know if not possible. Regards, Matt x |

Well what do you think about this for a theory..... We have Robert Labron and Ann Spedding = 1815 Children Elizabeth, Mary, Ann, Thomas, Robert, Robert, Isabella, James and Margaret.... We have Robert and Ann on the 1841 Census On the 1841 Census Robert and Ann were living at Hill Top Farm, Redworth, Darlington. Robert Leybourne aged 60 Farmer of this county Y. Ann Leybourne aged 55 of this county Y. Robert aged 12, Isabella aged 10, James aged 5, Margaret aged 3. William Howe aged 20 Occ. M.S (Male Servant) and William Walker aged 15 Occ. M.S (Male Servant). and his Death Death in the Registration District of Darlington in the sub-district of Aycliffe. 11th March 1851 of Hill Top, Redworth, Robert Labron, Male aged 72 Years, Farmer, Cause of Death, Decay of Nature (not certified). Robert Labron, Present at the Death, Hill Top, Redworth. (Registered 13th March 1851) Burial Register, St. Helen's Church, Auckland 14th March 1851 Robert Layburn of Hill Top aged 71 Years His age of 60 rounded down and his age of 72 on Death gives a Birth//Baptism date of c1778 I have this baptism for a Robert son of John..... Baptism Register. St Helen's Church, Auckland. 29th November 1778. Robert son of John Layburn of Bildershaw. I know there is no John in the children's names but here goes anyway The Thomas that is living at Brusselton Folly in 1841 is Robert's Uncle aged 85...whom I presume has brought him up.. Hence the children called Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas = Elizabeth Mulcaster in 1780 His Death in 1847 aged 93 gives him a Birth// Batism date...of 1754 I have weighed up all the options and Wendy and I both agree that this all fits... Robert's Father John = Margaret Skelton in 1777 at Bishop Middleham John's father is also called John.... John (son)bap 9th October 1748 at Bishop Middleham John married Jane Oliver in 1744 at Auckland St Helen Children of above Mary, James 1747, John 1748, Jane, Ann, Thomas 1755, Jane, William, Margaret, Oliver and Mary 1766..... all baptized Bishop Middleham Mary 1766 = John Rymer at A Helen Thomas 1755= Elizabeth Mulcaster at Heighington John 1748 = Margaret Skelton at Bishop Middleham James 1747 = Elizabeth Wilkinson at Bishop Middleham My theory is John and Jane Oliver have took up residence in West Auckland her home town be it through inheritance of her family home I dont know.. But only after all their children have been born At Bishop Middleham his home village.. After John and Margaret Skelton's marriage in 1777 all the family disappear from Bishop Middleham and turn up in West Auckland.... no Labron's recorded here after that marriage If my theory is correct.. something has happened between Robert and his parents to cut out a child called after his father... or he did not know who his Father was!!! The only Baptism I can find for Margaret Skelton makes her around 47 on marriage and 48 on having Robert.. It is very possible that she had died possibly soon after childbirth and Thomas and Elizabeth have brought him up....or they have both died and Thomas and Elizabeth have took him in and looked after him as a son.. I so far have been unable to trace a death for John or Margaret...... which we are working on All the pieces fit.. All the Children's name fall into place.. They all disappear from Bishop Middleham at the same time they turn up in West Auckland... These all cannot just be Co-incidence... The Thomas at Brusselton Folly fits in with the Bishop Middleham baptisms My Gut instinct tells me I'm right... Let me know what you think Maureen |
