Janet Sorry, no sign of Jane Robina Stewart, and too many Jane Stewarts to pinpoint her without some further info. If you know they married in Govan, do you have the cert, and therefore her parents names? Regards Ellen. |

Dawn I can not look up by address, but in any case there is no Isabella Pirie or Phillips at that address. There are only a few Isabella Piries in Aberdeen on the 1881, so if you can give me some more details I can try to pinpoint which one is her. eg; date or place of birth; husbands christian name and or occupation. Regards Ellen. |

Could you look for Jane Robina Stewart (her husbands dob is 1877 so hers could be around the same time). They married in Govan, Glasgow so this is where she maybe from although her husband is from Drymen. Could I be very cheeky and ask you to look for Alexander KEIR. in 1871 he is living at Blackhouse Farm with his brother and his brothers family. It states he is married. In 1881 he is not with his brother. His dob is abt 1824/26, Drymen area Alexander KEIR - have found him in 1881. thanks Many thanks |

Okay folks - not much luck tonight I'm afraid. Jackie: No William or George Parfreys born Scotland anywhere on the UK 1881, Scotland or anywhere else. Either out of the country or very badly mistrancribed. Alan - too many John M(a)cKays (over 200 born 1875 +/- 5 years alone). None John D M(a)cKay. Checked scotlandspeople and cannot find a birth either. Will need more info to help you. Mhairi - what was Christina's son's name? Several possibles, but nothing can tie down. If I can find her son and wife, I can work from there. Regards Ellen. |

Hi Ellen, Thank you for your kind offer. I am trying to find the whereabouts for two Parfreys in 1881 - William Henry Parfrey who was married in Lanarkshire 1872 and George Thomas Parfrey born 1873 in Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland. No sign of them on 1881 England census - thank you so much. Best wishes, Jackie |
