Marie, there is a James (1885) that could be yours... James Longhurst abt 1885 Millwall, London, England Nephew Dartford Kent I don't think Ephraim is yours. I found him on the other censuses too. I wonder if he went abroad for some reason? Or if he was just 'missed off' the count.

Hi Tracy, Dont know what to think. Ephraim, is that a name? James was deffinately born 18th Feb 1863 I know Shoreditch is near Bethnal Green. Pauper patient? Was he in hospital? He also had a son James b:1885 on 1891 but not on 1901. Perhaps his son died and he had a breakdown. Now what do you think? Marie

Russell.... Marriage Jun 1914 Mason William S Holmes Evelyn Leicester 7a 702 If you buy the cert, it will tell you (hopefully) their ages, fathers and occupations. Once you have that, it should be easier to find them in 1901.

Hi there, Yes I have a mystery that needs solving. I'm trying to track down any information I can regarding William Sidney Mason (circa 1889 - 1921, he may have come from Croydon, but may have come from Leicester or even somewhere else entirely). What I do know is that he was married to Evelyn Phillips Holmes (1896 - 1974 born in Leicester) and that he had two children - Joan (1914, born in Beckenham, Kent) and Jill (1916). I was wondering could you look up a marriage for me I'm looking for FLORENCE ISABEL TAYLOR born abt 1899 in dover, kent who married ALBERT SMART i think the marriage may have taken place between 1918-1920 i'm estimating from the first childs birth so it mite be a bit off, i don't know where they got married but it mite of been near battersea. any help would be appricated, thanks for searching. My gt grandfather James Longhurst b:1863 Bethnal Green, London is on 1891 census with wife Amy and children living in Hackney but is not on 1901 only his wife and kids. Where did he go? Dear Tracey I am trying to find out more info on a John William Kingston born 1862 in Salford, Manchester. In 1871 Lancashire census he is John Kingston aged 8 and by 1881 he is known as William Kingston aged 18. I am looking for any marriage details and a death if possible. Thank you very much. Hi Tracey. Have just got my Father's line back to 1539 but can't even get past my G Mother on Mum's side.!! Can you please find anything on my G Mother Hannah Elizabeth Reynolds born c1860, I think Liverpool, died 13 May 1960 Wallasey, m Samuel George Reed ?? Liverpool?? he was born 1 May 1860 and died 1918. I have to assume all this was Liverpool. Their children were Harriet Jane, b 23 March 1901, Samuel James b Oct 1906 (Walton) Liverpool, Hannah and Lawrence of whom I have no details. I understand that the parents of my Grandmother were????Reynolds who married a Jane Iball c1840. This is very sketchy but I just can't find anything on them. Many thanks. Don.
