Thanks Laurie. I can see Susan Dye was a boarder - so probably no family in the area. Could you just have a quick check and see if her status is ''unmarried''. I'm hoping it is. The age is a few years off, but that is probably because it was given by the head of the house. Margaret

1881 Middlesex/London. Would really appreciate info as I want to put him on Lost Cousins and it has to be 1881 for some strange reason. He is John William Chivers born in Stepney 1834. Wife is Amelia born c1824 in Winchmore Hill, Bucks: - but she changed it to Mile End on one Census !!! Children probably long gone by then but perhaps not. There is also a John William Chivers born 1802 in East London and is father of the above. He disappeared from Census of 1871 with wife, Charlotte, claiming widowhood. Have my doubts but have not yet found death betwen 1861 & 1871. Thanks.

Thanks for the info can you let me have the info on the servants as she may never have actually married . Things like that must have gone on but just kept secret! Elizabeth is listed in 1881 as Robert Sibbalds housekeeper. Thank you for trying Deborah
