Hi Laurie Thanks for the offer. Can you look for Michael Lyons born 1869 Middlesex living in London on the 1871 census please. His siblings were poss: Denis B 1859 / Mary Ann B: 1863 / Margaret B: 1862 all born whitechapel. If poss could you find the household of Peter Lyons B: 1813 Ireland in middlesex on the 1861 please. His occ in 1871 was a bootmaker master. Any info appreciated Thanks Tracey

Hi Tracy, The only Michael I can find living with siblings: Mary Ann and Dennis isn't the right one as he's b1850, Macroom Ireland. Do you have any idea of pss parents names or where they are from.....I found a couple of possibles: one born 1867....Whitechapel, one 1869 Aldgate Middlesex. one....1870 Westminster one 1870 St Giles Could his father have been Irish as I have one of these whose father was from Ireland. Hi Laurie Thanks for looking... i think i may have confused myself. I now have Peter Lyons in 1861 married with 3 children (which was what you found, thank you) Then in 1871 he was re-married with 1 child only 8mths. Obviously the children of the 1st marriage have left home, but on the 1881 Peter is widowed and without his young son. I cant find a death and on looking for his son daniel Lyons born 1870 clerkenwell, i can only find 1 born in whitechapel living with older siblings, but these siblings dont match those of the census you found, yet peter lyons is definately the same man... Hello Laurie Could you please look on the 1871 census for a Elizabeth Wheatley(birth name) /or Mckenzie/Mckenszie In 1881 she is with her second husband but I cant trace her first marriage to a Mckenzie,She was born 1852/3 in Berwick on Tweed,which is Northumberland/Durham. Could you also look for her 2nd husband in 1871 Robert Sibbald born Scotland 1830 possibly living with wife Margaret in Gateshead or Newcastle. Thank you Deborah

Hi Laurie Thanks for checking that for me, they are the names i had aswell, akthough the first marriage was only as the result of you finding the 1861 census. This means Peter Lyons married his second wife prior to his first wife dying, as ellen died in 1871 and he married margaret in 1869!! mmm, interesting. Thanks for taking the time to look, its much appreciated, 2 heads are better than one, and i dont trust mine, lol :-)) Yes i certain thats margarets death also, which you would assume that their son daniel would be with his father peter in 1881... but hes not hence why i tried to cross match a daniel i found living only with siblings but they dont match up. Hi Deborah, Not having no luck with Elizabeth, there a couple of possible for her using her maiden name but it doesn't have Berwick as place of birth and she's a servant so cant be 100% Laurie The only Mckenzie appearing on the same page as her in marriages from 1871-1881 is another woman......which in those days I cant see being right....lol If you think of anything else let me know.

hi i am trying to find a ISABEL YOUNG born 1885 married to THOMAS JEFFERY born 1884 her mother was ELIZABETH DEXTER (1852c ) and father was THOMAS YOUNG (1852c ) we know that THOMAS died in the 1914 war but cannot find what happened to isabel after that. thanks lesley they all came from around the TRING area
