Find Ancestors

Tracey Frederick was born about 1850 in Bromley or Eltham and that would tie up, as would his being a dock labourer. His father James was born in 1824, not sure where but probably North Cray, his mother Mary was born 1825 in North Cray but I don't know a Jane McPherson. Now I'm just as puzzled. Regards Roy

Thanks for your precious time Tracy. I am researching the Frohocks from Lincoln. I have George and Mary(nee ???) daughter Sarah J up to the 1891 Census living at 3 Fotherby Cottages. I know that they moved to Albany Street. Is there anymore of them between 1901 and as far you can go. Your help would be appreciated.

Roy, I've found this one in 1891 Macpherson, Fred abt 1891 Eltham, Kent, England Son Woolwich London His DOB is way out, as is the relationship. I can't read the relationship, but his age is 40. This lady is with him... Macpherson, Jane abt 1824 North Cray, Kent, England Mother Woolwich London Do you recognise her? I don't think she's his mother. I can't see any of the others though.

Tracey More info-- Frederick McPherson born 1850 North Cray appears on the 1861 census as a 10 year old with parents James and Mary McPherson but disappears for the 1851, 71 and 91 census. In 1881 he's living on his own as 30 year old in Plumstead. Albert is 17 and at home in the 1881 census, he marries Eliza in 1885 and can't be traced on the 1891 census but the pair tunr up in the 1901 census with their three children the first of which Albert, was born in 1886. Walter is 7 on the 1861 census at home in Plumstead with parents James and Mary McPherson. In 1880 he marries Emma, where was he in 1871. Lastly, Frederick and Mary are not at home with parents Walter and Emma in 1901 despite being 7 and 9 respectively. Regards Roy

Having trouble trying to find birth and parents of cyril dudley charrington born 1917 wandsworth, I know he died 1959 and his father was a charles fredrick charrington but not who his mother was or when they married. Any help would be apprecciated Thanks Martin

Hi Tracy Thanks for your kind offer and if you find this i will eat my hat LOL I'm looking for a CHARLES MARKS born 1818 Newington London and died 20th March 1871 aged 53 at 7, Berkley Street, Lambeth. He Married Isadora Noble at Bethnal Green on 2nd Sept 1866 and was listed as a 'Carver' (calver & Gilder) as a profession. I'm positive he was married before, but i can't find him on any of the census from 41 - 61 I have come across MARKS as being mis-transcribed as Markes/Mankes/Manks/Alarks/Martha !! Annie

Steve, I can't find a Thomas and Elizabeth marrying in Stratton or a James W born there. Stratton is the reg district for Morwenstow. There are too many 'maybe's for me to be certain of who is yours.

Hi, looking for a marriage between 1914 and 1920 (or slightly later). My Great Grandmother, Eleanor Gillett, married again after her husband George died in 1914. Her maiden name was McMahon. Not sure who she married but would have been in the Liverpool (surrounding area). I don't know if she used Gillett or McMahon when she remarried. Any help appreciated. Carl

Albert and Eliza McPherson missing 1891 census, Walter and Emma McPherson missing 1871 census. Frederick McPherson, not the earlier one, missing from 1901 census and last Mary McPherson missing 1901 census. All from the South London former Kent area. Regards Roy

hI Tracy-Yes please I have a mystery dissapearance-I have a Watson Diston born 1836 in The Gateshead area married to a Isabella Tindale, their third son was born 1865-and Isabella remarried a George Roberts in 1869-but where has Watson gone? Can find no trace of a death for him-or indeed anything? Can find Isabella with George Roberts and her children at the New Debtford Hotel in Gateshead but no Watson. Can you help solve this mystery?
