There's this Milicent, spelt with one 'l'. Unfortunately she is living with her Aunt in 1901. You might need to try and find her marriage certificate to get her age. Hi Reg None of the names you mentioned are my Nan she was born 4th Aug 1900. Same age as the Queen mother,I remember seeing my nan's name in the local paper celebrating the same birthday as the Queen mother but not sure what age.I don't know if my nan was born in Watford,I know my great grandmother (my nan's mum) lived in Watford in Durban road west.I don't know what her name was either.I only remember seeing my g grandmother once and I was only about 14 at the time. I do know there is a Norwood somewhere in the family but wasn't sure where. Maureen

If your Nan is your mother's mother, then the easiest way to find out is to get your mother's birth certificate (I'm sure you will know her birthday) and this will have her mother's maiden name on it. In fact you won't need to buy the certificate, as the GRO index for your mother's birth certificate will have her mother's maiden name. If you give your mother's full maiden name and birthdate I'll have a look for you. Kath. x
