Hi Jane Me again...... Thanks for your last lot of info. Here's the Leicestershire one you have been waiting for lol.... Its a stab in the dark but here goes. You found my Benjamin Atkins born c 1795 Foxton Leics in 1851 living in Gt Oxenden Northants. On LDS i found his marriage to Ann Cort Born c 1794 Great Bowden Leics. Could you look up 1851 census for these two areas to see if there may be any other possible connections to Benjamin or Ann. Many thanks Julie

Paul, don't worry about it, could be my fault for just copying it off Ancestry page as it was, trying to save myself time to get you all squeezed in , lol ok the 1st place is where they are born, 2nd is where they are living, so in 1901 Rose is a servant , born Bury st edmunds, and living in Higham, Leics 1891 born Bury st edmunds, living in Burton on Trent. does that clear it up........... you were right anyway !! Barnard , son Joseph Bell, lodger, unmarried Caroline Lilly, lodger, unmarried Mary Raynham, lodger, widow would you believe none of the others are in the same house !!!! in fact they are not even on the same page, so panic over !!!!

Hi Sheila, might need a few more details from you............ this is the only one with Loughborough connection Harriet Ackley abt 1817 Loughborough Servant Dover St Mary Kent so have probably been mis transcribed, will need first names & rough ages to find them also can't do 1841, but 1851 is ok. Loughborough is in Leicestershire, and is near enough the same distance from Nottingham, Derby & Leicester.

Sheila have you found Harriet in 1861 with husband? that will give age & birthplace, so you can rule out the wrong one then....... oohh and don't forget in 1841 they rounded the age down to the nearest 5, on anyone over the age of 15(?), just to make life easier for us !!!

Sheila was it defo Robert McClelland she married?? have had a look at the marriage, and there was also John Jennings & Edward Mills, but have found a Harriet & Edward Mills in 1861in Lambeth? !!

Sheila, it is all very puzzling, i really don't know what to suggest next, having the certificates isn't going to help you either, blimey i'm stumped !!! you can't be sure that this Harriet you have married to Robert is even yours, or that the 2 Harriets in 41 & 51 is even the same one, and could involve Lambeth, Dover & Loughborough, which covers half the country !!! mmm sorry babe.............. thinking aloud there and haven't got the foggiest idea anymore !!! lol

Are you able to do a look up for me please in the 1891 census. Walter William Bailey born August 1885 in Croydon Surrey to parents Walter William and Emily (nee Wilson). Have not been able to find them on the 1901 census but would love to know if you are able to find them.

Danni have had a look but nothings jumping at me yet, do you have ages for them, rough guess is good enough, because at the minute i'm probably checking years when they weren't even born !!! also do you know when they married? or a parents or childs name, anything..................

thanks for helping....this is what i know Born mary ruby rebecca ford (aka Ruby Ford cause she didnt like Mary) Approx 1887. Married Arthur stanley Page in Feb 1911 (I have the certifcate for that). Her father was Joesph Ford. And she lived and worked in the Clerkenwell area. According to my mum she had restaurants and a guest house????? . Also according to my mum she came to England as a young Girl (whatever age that is) from Londonderry Ireland. I beleive she died around 1952 after falling down the stairs at work and once again according to my mum it was in the paper cause she was well known in the area??? I cant find nothing....not even the house they lived in after they married. I can find Arthurs parents and all the siblings in Rosoman street but nothing else. Oh Mary and Arthur had my grandad born 1911 and his name was leonard. Thanks for looking. soo appreciated. Danni x

Danni, have searched & searched again but have come up with the following problem................... it is possible that if Mary / Ruby was born in Ireland, she came over to England between 1901 & 1911 when she married as there are no passenger lists for Ireland to England we will never know when she came over exactly, we just know it was before 1911. and she nowhere to be seen in 1901 or 1891 in England. the only thing to look forward to is 1911 census and pray she was here by then. sorry its bad news Jane
