Hi Dawn I would be really grateful if you could help with the McClymonts from Wigtownshire I have managed to get back to Andrew McClymont who married Elizabeth Mc Nellie (or McNeilly) but have no dates for them and do not know any of their parents or siblings. Their son was Samuel McClymont born c1838, died 1913. I know his wife and children but not any of his siblings. I have already posted a reply to someone offering BIVRI lookups and they had no luck so if yours is the same area then I am sorry to have wasted your time with this query. HEATHER HAZELMAN Hi Heather Found David and Margaret's marriage but no parents listed. You would have to get someone to have a look on Scotland's People for you to see if they can find marriage cert to confirm this. Did find a birth record for a David with those parents, have included it in case it turns out to be your man. Couldn't find a marriage record between George and Agnes but did find a number of other children, all born in Ecclesmachan. If not...how long do you have to go? now I have a mystery... my gt.gt.gt.grandfather is: WILLIAM PRETSEL (does get mistranscribed alot... can be pretsell/pretsil/pritsil/pretcial/pretswell/pratshill) I have him on every cencus from 1841-1881(he died 1881) on cencus's his year and place of birth work out c1822 at TEMPLE,DALKEITH. his parents names were: PETER PRETSEL & AGNES DICK (I can find neither a marriage for his parents or his birth! or any siblings) I have been piecing together every single Pretsel/Pretsell together, to unravel my mystery... Thanx Sui (& let us know about this baby!!...There is just 1??LoL)
