Thank-you for your offer. I am trying to find the birth of DAVID McBURNIE LAURIE b Dumfrrieshire 1832. Also having trouble with his Parents: John Laurie and Mary Johnstone? Found one marriage in 1831. But this Mary born 1811 died in 1851 age 40 and my Mary is still alive in 1861. After David's Birth they moved to Leeds. Any help gratefully recieved.

Hello Dawn I am looking for the marriage of Alexander Francis Murphy tp Jane Cowie about 1840ish. They lived in Berwick (Northumberland) but I cannot find the marriage. Jane was the daughter of Robert Cowe and Robina Lamb who were from Foulden/Mordington just 10 minutes away from Berwick but over 'the border'. Greatly appreciate any help Regards Cheryl

Hi I have been trying to get details of My great grandfathers family his name was Robert Currie Allan (some times spelt wrong on the census Allen) I think he was born in 1848 or 49 in Kirkpatrick Durham his fathers name was Robert Allan who was also a surgeon by profession I have no details of his mother but if you can find his details it would help with the missing details in my tree Thank you so much Lorna

Hi Dawn, Thanks you so much for your very kind & generous invitation re Scottish ancestors, which is greatly appreciated. My ggrandparents were Agnes MILROY b. 1850 & David STEVENSON b. 1852, who I believe came from Kirkcudbright. Possibly TWYNHOLM as there is a strong connection with it. They married in Liverpool in July 1872 when Agnes was pregnant, then went back to Twynholm, Kirkcudbright for the birth. Which was a girl on 20th September 1872, whom they named Marion (my Gran). They later went back to Liverpool, date unknown, where they settled and raised a large family. Agnes MILROY had at least two brothers, these being: Charles MILROY b. 1864? Twynholm? Alexander MILROY b.1857 said to have been a 'ships carpenter'. I know nothing about the family of David STEVENSON of Scotland. When you have the time, anything you may be able to find about either families, no matter how small, would be very welcome indeed. Thanks & good wishes, Jim

Would you be able to find the parents of Sarah McKerrow c1826 new cumnock Jane McKerrow c 1829 new cumnock Gavin McKerrow c1834 new cumnock All brother and sisters. Have them from 1881 census but cant connect them to my tree yet. Need the parents to connect them Thanks GLoria

On the parent search facility, would it be possible to look for any children born to William Meikle Braes born Circa 1777 in Muiravonside we believe he married an Agnes Young in 1816. Its the children they had that we are stuck on other than (Stephen Braes born 1825) Many many many thanks for all your hard work, its really appreciated Louise Braes (kent)

Thank you for your kind offer Dawn, I am trying to find parents of Christiana Ness, she has birth years varying 1811 to 1819 in Pathhead, Dysart, Fife. She married George Fell in Dysart in 1843 but it doesn't show her parents on the transcript. Also she had a son John born Scotland 1849 I'm wondering if that was in Dysart, as on English census it doesn't give town. Many thanks Richard
