Hi Maureen Thanks for the offer. I am looking for the maiden name of Mary who was married to William Snowdon. She was born in 1823 and they had their first child in 1859 so I think they would have been married about 1857-58. William was baptised at Stella Roman Catholic Church, Co Durham but I don't know where Mary was baptised. Lindsey

Hi Being very new at this, Coming from Scotland now living in Australia and just found out my grandfather and family were all born in Durham and not Glasgow as everyone believed Im not too sure if you can help me. Here Goes Looking for birth or babtism details for Ralph Marshall born 1887 in Chester Le Street Durham. Father Ralph, Mother Mary. I would like to know if the name is actually Stephen Ralph Marshall and not just Ralph Marshall or if this Stephen Ralph Marshall is a totally different person and Im barking up the wrong tree with this one (dont think so tho) You see as far as we knew his name was Ralph but on his marriage, death and sons death certificates in Scotland it states his name as Stephen Ralph Marshall?? Co. Durham, Tyne And Wear. Vol 10a. Page 793. I have sent for Cert from 1837. But they can't find it!!! Yet It is on there. Other spelling of Whyms I have come across are Weims, Weymess.
