Kate Shaw Mary Hardy (no birth date) baptised 11th May 1806 dau of Robert Hardy, Soldier, N (native) of Brough by his wife Judith N (native) of Ireland Robert Hardy born 1st April 1806 baptised 11th May 1806 son of Robert of same parents If you can imagine a book opened up in front of you Mary Hardy (no birth date) baptised 11th May 1806 dau of Robert (this is on one side of the book and the writing continues at the other side of the book with) Hardy, Soldier, N (native) of Brough by his wife Judith N (native) of Ireland Robert all it says on the other side is of same parents Plus if you were looking for some answers to the marriage all it says is 23rd November 1819 John Coats and Mary Ann Hardy married. ..nothing in the Banns either.. Thanks a lot - at least I know those details from IGI are correct and have found out that Judith is from Ireland which I didn't know. I'm still not sure exactly which jigsaw pieces belong to my family but every bit of info helps. Thanks again for your time and help. Kate

Marriage of Caroline Colwell and William Bone in 1876 (Durham Central - possibly Brandon) - and the name of William's father please. Caroline was born in Brandon Village and William in Gateshead according to the 1901 census (William shown as age 30 and Caroline 25) Many thanks Angie

Hi Maureen, Thank you for your offer, Could you poss look for 2 marraiges.. Thomas Snaith(c1796)born either Derwenthaugh or Swalwell married somebody by the name of Elizabeth.(1795)I imagine they married about 1820 as there 1st child Hannah was born 1821.Would it be poss to see if it names any parents. Secondly..George Burdess(1836)born Hetton-le Hole married a Margaret (1844)Poss Thornley(we think thornley might be her last name)Could of married about 1863 as 1st child Isabella born 1864. Any details of poss parents would be great. Many thanks sue x
